About
I am a Child of God, Servant of Christ, Lutheran Franciscan, Pastor, Aspiring Writer and Theologian.
I am an ordained Lutheran pastor serving St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Frostburg, MD. I am a Novice in the Order of Lutheran Franciscans.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Radford University in 2006 and my Master’s of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in 2015.
Before I was a Pastor, I taught and served overseas in Slovakia the ELCA’s Young Adults in Global Mission and Teaching Programs for several years.
When I’m not pastoring and exploring the mysteries of faith, I like to visit new places and meet interesting people, ride my bike, read an assortment of books ranging from the Bible to science fiction and fantasy novels. I also enjoy watching foreign/independent films and eclectic TV shows.
My faith in Jesus Christ is an important aspect of how I live my life. I am learning every day that God’s grace is abundant. I am drawn to the Biblical narrative because I see myself in the stories.
“Faith is a living, daring confidence in God’s grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times.” Martin Luther – The Reformation guy
“Christ has planted in the world the seeds of something altogether new, but they do not grow by themselves. Hence history has never yet really had a chance to become a Christian creation. For the world to be changed, man himself must begin to change it, he must take the initiative, he must step forth and make a new kind of history. The change begins within himself.” Thomas Merton – Catholic Monk and Theologian
